Bobby Lindstrom: MUSIC

Everything We Need

(Bobby Lindstrom: Hungry, Cold And Blue)

There's a place inside of us that we can go where we are ok, it seems. The main hook was from another song I had started years before, and fit this little story I was partly making up and was partly living, or had lived.
Thank you for delivering me here again
Like a leaf from a hurricane wind
I been everywhere
That I should not have been
Thank you for bringing me home

I started walking off down the road
I left my mother and dad
Found out some things that none of us would know
How a good life can turn so bad
I called back home to get some help with rent
Bought marijuana instead
Then I had nothin' - all my money spent
On another hole in my head

I went to hell and then back again
All by myself with my pain
There was no satan was no fiery pit
I was alone in the rain
I wondered what it was I'd hoped to find
This was a lesson to me
Save you some trouble if you keep in mind
Ain't nothing outside we need

Don't need the lights in Hollywood
Don't need the lights on Broadway

We got everything that we need
Got everything that we need
ooooo-wou-hoooooo
We got everything that we need

Got everything we need
Everything we need
(Got everything that we need)
(Everything we need)
Everything we need
(Everything we need)
Everything we need
(Everything we need)
Everything we need
(Everything we need)
